Giving

Headway East London relies on donations from the public to continue the work we do in the community.  Your donation could:

  • Sponsor a person with brain injury to attend Headway House.
  • Fund the cost of running our key therapies including physiotherapy, counselling, music, exercise, or yoga.
  • Hire transport for outings.
  • Purchase equipment for Headway House - such as exercise machines, arts projects and IT equipment.

Ways to give

Gift Aid

There are many ways to donate and if you are a UK taxpayer your gift could be worth 28% more at no extra cost to you. Just remember to tick the Gift Aid box when you fill in the relevant forms.

Make a regular gift

Regular giving by monthly or yearly direct debit allows us to plan more effectively for the future. You can set up your regular gift online or print off and complete our Regular Giving Form and send it to us by post.

Make a one-off donation

One-off donations are always very welcome. Just print off the Cheque Donation Form, fill it in and return it with your cheque to the address on the right. Alternatively you can donate online, safely and securely using JustGiving.

Payroll giving

You can make a regular gift, tax free, to Headway East London through your pay packet just by telling your employer how much you want to give and how often.

Payroll Giving donations are deducted before tax so each £1 you give will only cost you 80p, and if you’re a higher rate tax payer it will only cost you 60p.

Remember us in your will

By remembering Headway East London in your will, you are contributing to supporting the work we do in the community. It means that we can plan projects that will make a long-lasting and significant difference to those that we support.

We recognise that a legacy is one of the most personally significant gifts you are likely to make and it is important that you seek legal advice to ensure your wishes are properly expressed in your Will.

A gift in memory

Memorial donations in lieu of flowers can be a meaningful and lasting way to keep the memory of a loved one alive.

Asking friends and family to donate to Headway East London means your loved one’s memory will live on, not only in the hearts of those who knew them, but in the hearts of members from your kindness.

If you would like to give in memory of a friend or relative, please send any donations or cheques payable to Headway East London, along with the name of the person in whose memory the donations are collected, to:

We will reply with a letter of thanks to the donor, unless otherwise requested. Please provide details of the next of kin if you would like us to let them know we have received the donation. We will not disclose the donation amount.
