Corporate support
Choosing to enter into a corporate partnership with Headway East London is a great way of demonstrating your company’s values to customers and employees.
There are many ways your company can make a valuable difference to the work we do and we are thankful for the continued support we’ve had from many companies through staff fundraising, gifts in kind, payroll giving, sponsorship, offering expertise, matched giving, volunteering, and charity of the year sponsorship.
Charity of the Year
Nominating Headway East London as your Charity of the Year or Local Charity of the Year is a great way for your whole company to work together to make a difference to the lives of people living with acquired brain injuries.
There are a number of ways your company can support us - whether it is through employee fundraising, volunteering at Headway House, payroll giving, matched-giving, running a marathon or creating your own high-profile events - there is always something for people to get involved in.

Engaging your employees: Business challenge - entrepreneurial team building day/week
Employees could be grouped into teams and given one day/one week and a budget of £100 and challenge them to turn it into profit for Headway East London by whatever business venture possible. This is similar to The Apprentice challenge as seen on TV. It will allow teams to be creative and entrepreneurial, and have fun in the process.
Engaging your employees: Take part in a sporting challenge
There are a number of running events ranging from the Adidas 5k Women’s Challenge in Hyde Park, the British 10K London Run, half marathons and marathons taking place throughout the UK. If your company has a running team established within your organisation, they can recruit new runners to take part and have training groups for those who have never trained for such events. Other events also include sponsored swim, cycling, triathlons or walks. All of which are proven popular and will get many employees involved.
Team Building/Corporate volunteering opportunities

Goldman Sachs volunteers at Headway House
Not all fundraising is about money - it can be about donating time through volunteering. We would like employees to take part in day trips, or volunteer their time at Headway House working with our members, whether that is during art or IT sessions, to running our craft stall at Spitalfields Market. For more information about corporate volunteering, contact Philippa Paine at philippa.paine@headwayeastlondon.org.
Matched-giving
If you have a member of staff or a group of employees taking part in a challenge event, you can support their fundraising effort through matched-giving whereby you match the money raised by staff. Therefore if an employee gives/raises £20 to Headway East London, so do you.
Host the Headway East London stall in your office for a day

Headway East London craft stall
The Headway East London craft stall was successfully launched this year at Spitalfields Market selling crafts and art hand-made by Headway East London members. The hand-made jewellery, plaques, mirrors and cards were made at the Bradbury House just off Kingsland Road by the members of the charity. We welcome companies who would like to host a stall within their offices in London for us to sell arts and crafts to staff and visitors. To find out more information, please contact Sandra Ma at sandra.ma@headwayeastlondon.org or call 020 7749 7790.
Recycle for Headway East London
Help us promote our recycling programme. You can donate old mobile phones or ink cartridges to recycling initiatives. Any money raised can be donated to Headway East London. Why not consider sending electronic e-Christmas cards? Money saved on postage can be donated.
