Q. Why did you get involved with Headway East London?
Personal experience, I found the website.
Fractured skull skateboarding. It was a bad fall and freak accident.
Q. How did you come up with the idea of 100km?
Sitting on a train but it just came to me and knew I will miss the Dance Marathon and knew that many people did 10km but just added the 0 to do 100km.
Q. Have you ever done an event such as this?
No.
Q. How are you feeling now that the challenge is done?
Relieved but I have constant pain in my legs, I will need to take a few days to recover.
Q. Why did you take this challenge?
I was always a runner and the only main sport I do is boxing but there is no boxing challenge. That is why I picked running.
Q. How did you train?
Every Tuesday and Thursday I did boxing training and in between, running around Shoreditch area.
Q. What is the longest distance you have run?
Today actually. 20km today to end challenge.
Q. What motivated you throughout the challenge?
The cheering when I ran past Headway House! That was the quickest I did 10km. Also the music I listen to when I ran helped me along.
Q. What music did you listen to?
Drum and bass, a good steady beat with minimal lyrics
Q. How much did you raise?
Hopefully once Gift Aid is added I will have raised £1000.
Q. What do you hope to do next year?
Something related to climbing or snowboarding.
