Q. What is Chicken Shed?Errol Drysdale

A theatre company of youngsters in Cockfosters at the end of the Northern Line

 

Q. When do they meet?

Every so often, but more often when they’re having a production.

 

Q. How many productions happen in a year?

One big one a year and some small ones

 

Q. How did you get involved?

Because I’m, well, I like acting and I saw an advert in the paper for auditions.

 

Q. What did you do for an audition?

I did a monologue that I made up.

 

Q. What was your latest production?

I’ve forgotten. It was Midsummers Nights Dream by William Shakespeare.

 

Q. Was it difficult to remember your lines when the old language is so different?

Yup!

 

Q. What character were you playing?

I can’t remember………..Puck.

 

Q. How many performances did you do?

Roughly quit a few - 10.

 

Q. Do the performances go on quite late?

Yup, quite late.

 

Q. How long have you been there?

3 years.

 

Q. Do they ever do musicals?

Yes.
