How we are funded
As an independent charity, Headway East London is responsible for raising all the money it needs to rent premises, pay staff, run services and develop new initiatives. The total expenditure for this year is expected to be in the region of £900,000.

Headway East London members
More than 85% of the cost of running Headway House now comes from statutory funders - social services and the health service; however not all of our members are eligible to receive statutory support.
Other services, for example outreach, family support and the younger person’s network and new developments are not yet funded by the statutory sector so we have to turn to other sources of funding. This is where you can help!
This year Headway East London needs to raise £240,000 in charitable donations in order to keep providing all of its current services and an additional £50,000 to develop its new initiative, the Discovery Programme.
Headway East London has a fundraising strategy which includes making applications to trusts and foundations, developing partnerships with companies, attracting supporters, individual donors and major donors and encouraging supporters to raise funds through events and sponsorship.
Headway East London prefers to gain support from people and organisations who are won over by the work that goes on - we’d love you to join us.
