Board of Trustees/Directors

The Trustees of Headway East London have ultimate responsibility for the charity, its assets and activities. They meet as a Board of Directors every two months to discuss the progress of the charity. Their main duties are:

  • To ensure the charity is legally compliant and financially secure
  • To set the objectives and strategy for the charity
  • To monitor the performance of the Chief Executive in achieving our goals
  • To provide support to the Chief Executive
  • To promote Headway East London to a wider audience

Trustees are drawn from diverse backgrounds including those with direct experience of acquired brain injury either directly or as carer or relation. The Board may also invite co-optees with specific skills to attend Board meetings - most Board members joined the Board through this route. We are always interested in meeting individuals who may wish to get involved at this level.
